Well, I’ve been a bit quiet of late as we haven’t been working on De Busta. We got to the stage that we needed to source more funds to continue as we had exhausted most of the lower cost items leaving the big daddies like batteries, levelers, solar panels etc.
So, we spent a couple of weeks tidying up Merlin, our smaller motorhome, and put him on the market. We had heaps of interest, more than 1200 views on marketplace, several people have come and had a look, a few have taken him for a drive. The lucky winner is a lady from Tassie who is super excited. The fact that she doesn’t have a licence and she can’t get him on the Spirit until mid-end of January has not dampened her or our spirits. We are happy that he is going to a good home. She is a nurse and intends to travel around Australia working so we just may meet up around this great country of ours.
Work is about to re-commence on De Busta as we have been steadily receiving packages over the last week as well as made a trip to the city to collect.
Here is a list of what we now have stored in the back room:
- Lithium batteries – ordered and still on the way
For the last couple of weeks we have been appeasing ourselves by simply sitting in the bus, or sometimes laying on the bed checking the view we will have, pondering the future, listening to music and occasionally enjoying a cold beverage.
Stay tuned as the fun begins again!
