We crossed the Queensland border so it was time to catch up with family and friends. What a whirlwind week, starting in Toowoomba to see the grandkids. We had identified a place to stay in Vale View and had some fun as the GPS took us to what we thought was a back entrance to the grassed area to find the one way narrow road in fact did not grant access due to a locked gate. After a 225 point turn to get out we have discovered it is much easier to reverse out in the future. Impressive effort Freddy!
Next stop was Beenleigh to have lunch with my sister then onto the Gold Coast to visit with my brother and family.
What a ripper view!
Heading north to Gracemere we spend a couple of days with Fred’s family, farewelling Pa D on top of Mt De Costa. We were lucky enough to camp at Fred’s childhood home in Orkabie as well as the family home in Gracemere. A memorable time with family honouring a truely decent gentleman.

All too soon we are heading south again as we are due back home by next Thursday. We caught up with our dear friend Dixie and her fur babies in Milman, then headed to Yeppoon to catch up with more wonderful friends, Andy and Brian for lunch, Sharon and Gavin for happy hour and dinner. Next and final stop before we seriously head home was Bundaberg where we spent the night visiting Robbie and Leanne. Too little time!

Lots of laughs and a some tears with promises that next time we will be on De Busta time – no rules!
Stay tuned for our last week, the return trip home……
Good to see you both. Bus and all…..amazing.
